Even conservative historians estimate that Jammu State originated in first century AD it earlier. Very little is known about the state between the first and tenth centuries AD. Major discoveries have been made regarding Jammu’s pre-history dating the Soan and Neolithic Period.
There have been Rulers from Agnibaran, descendant of Kush, the elder son of Shri Ram King of Ayodhya Ajay Singh, the son-in-law of King Porus who died fighting Alexander, the great King Ranjit Dev of the Dev Dynasty to the Jamwal Dynasty.
